Let me introduce myself, I'm Joa. Also known as Joaquin, Flowered Stoat or even The Dobious.
The last time I wrote an “About Me”, I ended it by specifying how the description could only apply to the specific Joa who wrote that. Now it seems absurd to me. We change so much in such a short time. But our essence is still there, always. I once described to a friend what for me was the essence of people. I told him: It is not the sum of your being, but the rest. What we are when what we have, leaves us.
I cannot deny that my mother tongue is not English, and I fear that my level of writing is inferior to that of my mother tongue. But I am writing this in English because I don't want my close people to read all this. I want this little page to be personal and a little secret. Although I'm not making it a secret, I don't think English sounds “personal” either.
I care a lot about how I write. I'm a writer, but I'm also a video game developer and I also draw, and I have a goal of making a movie as well. There are so many artistic things I want to do before I die. Dying... I think I've made peace with death, but if I imagine myself really dead, in the infinite void, I get chills. But the thought that I will leave art after my death, reassures me.
I've been going to therapy all my life, so don't worry about me. I'm really into psychology and philosophy, so I'm constantly dealing with my traumas and fears. Maybe that makes me feel like I have more control over my life. My friends tell me I'm good at giving advice, but all I say are things I've been told by my therapist or read in a book.
