I was trying to jot down a few notes, but the constant thudding from the phone beside me kept breaking my concentration. I turned to find a young man sitting next to me, his face flushed with frustration as he glared at his phone. His skin was pale, but his anger was slowly turning his face a shade of red. Brown hair framed his features, with a single curl of bangs stubbornly resting across his forehead. He caught me staring and, after a brief moment of eye contact, whipped his head back toward his ancient phone, convinced that the latest bump would somehow fix it. But, of course, it didn't. He turned to me again, this time leaning forward and asking, "Do you know how to make it work?" as he thrust the prehistoric device into my hands. I hesitated for a second, taking the phone with a surprised glance back at him. How could someone so young be so hopelessly lost with technology?.
No, the story above isn’t true at all. But I’m sure it could have happened. Joseph is one of the smartest people I know—especially when it comes to philosophy and, of course, contradicting me. He loves construction, reading, video games, and, most importantly, sandwiches. Sorry, ladies, this guy is already taken… by sandwiches.
Since he’s a native English speaker, I always feel a little embarrassed when I make spelling mistakes. One time, I wrote hearth instead of heart. It drove me crazy because, let’s be honest, hearth is way cooler than heart. And Joe—maybe for the first time in his life—actually agreed with me. Since then, we just write "❤h" instead.
But how did we really meet? Well, one day, he left a comment on one of my Glimpse Games on itch.io. His analysis of my game was incredible. It got me so hyped and grateful that I immediately begged him to be my friend. And ever since then, we’ve been inseparable.
I wouldn’t trade him for anything in the world.
He's also a writer and is currently making a video game! I’m not sure how much I can reveal about it—or about his other projects—but trust me, everything he creates is amazing. He pours so much passion into his work that I’m 100% sure it’s going to be something special.
